Q. Why would someone see a Counsellor?

A. People seek out Counsellors for many different reasons... 

  • it might be at a time of crisis when events feel overwhelming
  • when important decisions need to be thought through or made
  • or as a result of many years of feeling uncomfortable with life or of being dissatisfied in some way

Q. What discourages people from seeking help from a Counsellor?

A.  Questions such as ... 

  • Where do I look?
  • How do I know that the Counsellor can help me?
  • Will they tell me what to do?
  • If I tell them how I feel will they think I am mad?
  • I have nothing to feel unhappy about but I keep feeling so anxious/sad/low/angry ...  will I be wasting their time?

Q. How long are counselling sessions?

A. Each session is 50 minutes long.

Q. What is the cost?

A. Typically individual counselling sessions are £50 and couples sessions are £55, but each counsellor is independent so please confirm when contacting them.

Q. If I miss a session will I have to pay?

A. Please give at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel.

Q. How do I pay for my session?

A. Please discuss this directly with your individual counsellor.
